NEW ALLIANCE's Delivery and Naming Ceremony Held in Dalian

4 March 2024 - the delivery and naming ceremony of the first Aframax ship T110K-4, a 115,000-ton crude oil tanker, jointly built by CMES Shipping and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC), and the commencement ceremony of the LNG project G175K-5 were held in Dalian. Mr Feng Boming, Executive Vice President of China Merchants Group and Chairman of CMES Shipping, attended the ceremony and named the new ship. Mr Zhou Song, Chief Accountant of PetroChina, and Mr Wang Yongliang, Chairman of China Shipbuilding Industry, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Ms Zhang Jin, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of PetroChina, cut the rope for the new ship. Mr Wang Yongxin, Presidnet of CMES Shipping, attended the ceremony.

The NEW ALLIANCE series of ships and the LNG project represent the outcome of trilateral resource sharing and complementary advantages, serving as significant measures to continuously enhance the resilience of the energy industry chain and supply chain. These projects signify the establishment of a deep and high-level cooperation pattern in the oil and gas field among the three parties. The NEW ALLIANCE represents the next generation of Aframax crude oil tanker in China, with technical and economic indicators that rank among the world's leading standards, along with its emission standards. The commencement of construction for the LNG No. 5 ship marks the first batch of LNG ship orders in the history of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company, showcasing the efficient cooperation among the three parties.

During the commencement ceremony of the LNG project G175K-5 ship, Feng Boming, Zhou Song, and Wang Yongliang jointly initiated the cutting of the new ship's steel plate, symbolizing the formal beginning of its construction and expressing hopes for the smooth progress of LNG ship construction.
